Working Holiday Program

Australia's Working Holiday Program allows young people from eligible countries to have an extended holiday while supplementing their funds through short-term work. There are two subclasses depending on your country of citizenship.

Extending your working holiday — second & third year

You can extend your working holiday visa for a second year (and in some cases a third year) by completing a specified period of regional work in agriculture, mining, construction, or related industries.

Second year: complete 3 months (88 days) of specified regional work in your first year
Third year: complete 6 months of specified regional work in your second year
Work must be in designated regional areas (postcodes listed on Home Affairs website)
